About
Ideas worth spreading, from San Marcos.
TEDxCSUSM is an independently organized TED event hosted at California State University San Marcos.
Our mission
A stage for our community's boldest thinkers.
Cal State San Marcos is home to researchers, first-generation scholars, entrepreneurs, artists, and changemakers. TEDxCSUSM exists to amplify their ideas and connect them with the wider North County community.
Our 2027 theme, Solving the World's Biggest Problems, invites speakers to take on challenges at every scale, from a single neighborhood to the whole planet, and to offer ideas we can act on.

TED is a nonprofit devoted to sharing ideas, usually through short, powerful talks. It began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment, and Design converged, and now covers almost every topic in more than 100 languages. TEDx extends that mission by letting local communities host their own events.
